London Knights Triumph Over Moncton Wildcats to Secure Spot in Memorial Cup Final
The London Knights defeated the Moncton Wildcats 5-2 in the Memorial Cup semifinal, advancing to face the Medicine Hat Tigers in the championship game.

The London Knights showcased their resilience and skill on Friday night, securing a 5-2 victory over the Moncton Wildcats in the Memorial Cup semifinal. This win propels them into the final, where they will face the Medicine Hat Tigers on Sunday.
Blake Montgomery was the hero of the night, breaking the tie at 3:35 of the third period with a decisive goal. Montgomery's goal came off a breakaway, assisted by Sam Dickinson's short backhand feed, slipping the puck past Moncton's goalie, Mathis Rousseau.
Additional contributions came from Landon Sim, Denver Barkey, Jesse Nurmi, and Easton Cowan, who scored into an empty net. Austin Elliott was solid in goal, making 21 saves to anchor the Knights' defense.
For the Moncton Wildcats, Caleb Desnoyers and Dyllan Gill managed to score power-play goals, with Gill tying the game at 2 in the second period. Despite their efforts, Rousseau's 32 saves weren't enough to stave off the Knights' relentless offense.
The Knights, who lost last year's final to the Saginaw Spirit, are eager to claim the title this year. Meanwhile, the Wildcats, fresh off their QMJHL championship win against the Rimouski Oceanic, fell short in their quest for the Memorial Cup.
As the stage is set for the final, hockey fans eagerly anticipate a thrilling showdown between the London Knights and the Medicine Hat Tigers. Both teams have demonstrated exceptional talent and determination throughout the tournament, promising an exciting conclusion to this year's Memorial Cup.
