Johnson comes to the Bears after three seasons as the offensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions, where he helped engineer a top-five scoring offense. Bears president and CEO Kevin Warren said that Johnson was the top candidate for the job, and that the team was aggressive in their pursuit of him.
