Medvedev reflected on his performance, stating, "I could have done much better when I had the break in the second, but it is normal. The same happened in the third set that, when I had the break, he started playing better, returning better. I am happy that in the third set I managed to stay more composed and managed to save those break points."

This victory marks Medvedev's fourth consecutive win over Zverev, extending his lead in their head-to-head series to 13-7. Medvedev is now set to face Alexander Bublik in the final, who himself had a remarkable journey to the final, defeating top-ranked Jannik Sinner in the second round and Karen Khachanov in the semifinals with a score of 4-6, 7-6 (5), 6-4.

Bublik, the 2023 champion, expressed his excitement about the upcoming final, saying, "This was the biggest title of my career here, and now I have a shot at a second one."

Medvedev, who hasn't played a final since March 2024, is poised to return to the world's top 10 rankings regardless of the final's outcome. Zverev, on the other hand, will have to wait for his first title on grass.
