Lando Norris Dominates FP2 at Austrian Grand Prix, Outpaces Teammate Piastri
Lando Norris sets the fastest lap in FP2 at the Austrian Grand Prix, leading McLaren's charge ahead of teammate Oscar Piastri.

Lando Norris made a strong comeback in the second practice session (FP2) at the Austrian Grand Prix, setting the fastest lap time of 1:04.580. This performance came after Norris missed the first practice session, where young driver Alex Dunne took his place and impressed the team.
Norris's lap was a tenth and a half faster than his McLaren teammate, Oscar Piastri, who secured the second spot. The British driver's return to the track was marked by a determined effort to make up for lost time, following a challenging incident with Piastri in Canada two weeks ago.
Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing finished third, showcasing his consistent performance, while Lance Stroll of Aston Martin surprised many by securing the fourth position. Charles Leclerc of Ferrari and George Russell of Mercedes rounded out the top six, with Russell having been the fastest in the earlier FP1 session.
The session highlighted McLaren's strong pace, with both Norris and Piastri demonstrating the team's competitive edge. As the weekend progresses, all eyes will be on Norris to see if he can maintain this momentum into qualifying and the race.
