The British cyclist made a decisive move in the final 150 meters after a challenging climb, leaving his competitors behind. His former Ineos Grenadiers teammate, Brandon Rivera, finished second, while Pavel Sivakov from UAE Team Emirates-XRG took third place, also claiming the overall race lead.

Pidcock, who was disappointed with his eighth-place finish in stage one, expressed satisfaction with his strategic performance on Thursday. "Today I raced really smart. I didn't have a big panic, I let the race play out, and in the end it was perfect. I know I'm in great shape," said Pidcock, celebrating his victory with a dramatic jump over a speedbump.

The 133.2km route from Alcaudete to Torredelcampo saw Pidcock join a five-man breakaway with under 40km to go. The group successfully held off a chase group, including overnight leader Maxim van Gils, before Pidcock made his winning move.
