Champions Trophy 2023 Semi-Finals: Teams, Schedule, and How to Watch

Get all the details about the Champions Trophy 2023 semi-finals, including team lineups, match schedules, and how to follow the action live.

Teams and Road to the Semi-Finals

After an intense group stage, the ICC Champions Trophy 2023 has narrowed down to four strong contenders. From Group A, India and New Zealand have emerged victorious. India secured the top spot with a commanding win over New Zealand in their final group match. Meanwhile, South Africa and Australia have advanced from Group B, with South Africa leading the pack after impressive performances against Afghanistan and England.

Semi-Final Schedule

The semi-finals promise thrilling cricket action as the top teams battle for a place in the final. Here's the schedule:

  • Tuesday, 4 March: Semi-Final 1 - India vs Australia at Dubai International Stadium, 09:00 GMT
  • Wednesday, 5 March: Semi-Final 2 - South Africa vs New Zealand at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, 09:00 GMT

India has chosen to play their matches in Dubai due to political tensions with Pakistan, which means they will remain in Dubai if they reach the final.

Reserve Days and Match Rules

The ICC has allocated reserve days for both semi-finals and the final to ensure the games are completed despite adverse weather conditions:

  • First Semi-Final Reserve Day: Wednesday, 5 March (08:00 GMT)
  • Second Semi-Final Reserve Day: Thursday, 6 March (09:00 GMT)
  • Final Reserve Day: Monday, 10 March (09:00 GMT)

A minimum of 25 overs per side is required to constitute a match in the knockout stages, up from 20 in the group phase. If the final is washed out on both days, the trophy will be shared, and a super over will decide any tied matches.
