When Cameron Vuong and Jordan Flynn-Dhanjal step into the same room, the tension is palpable. Insults, jibes, and even physical altercations have marked their rivalry over the past year. On Friday night, they will finally settle their feud in the ring, competing for the vacant WBO European lightweight title—the first professional title fight for both fighters.

A Feud Fueled by Frustration

The two were originally scheduled to fight in April 2024, but Vuong withdrew due to a shoulder injury. A rescheduled bout in June fell through when Flynn-Dhanjal suffered a knee injury requiring surgery.

"I've been hearing his name for over a year now," said Flynn-Dhanjal. "It's irritating, and I just want to get this fight done. I can’t wait to prove myself in the ring."

Vuong, meanwhile, is confident: "Flynn’s career ends after this fight. He’ll be back to small-hall shows, if not retired. He hasn’t achieved much at his age."

Undefeated Records on the Line

Flynn-Dhanjal remains unbeaten (11-0-1), while Vuong boasts a perfect 7-0 record. Their animosity first flared after Vuong’s win over Ishmael Ellis in February 2024, leading to a heated face-off.

"He talks too much—let’s see if he can back it up," Vuong said. "I’ll teach him a lesson."

Vuong’s Controversial Win and Stevenson Spar

Since their cancelled bouts, Vuong stayed busy, defeating Joe Underwood Hughes and edging out Gavin Gwynne in a disputed decision. Even promoter Eddie Hearn admitted Gwynne might have won.

In preparation, Vuong sparred with WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson, calling it a "crazy, eye-opening experience."
