Tadej Pogacar Dominates Liege-Bastogne-Liege 2025: A Historic Third Victory
Tadej Pogacar secures a historic third win at Liege-Bastogne-Liege 2025, solidifying his status as one of cycling's greatest legends.

Tadej Pogacar's Stellar Performance
World champion Tadej Pogacar showcased his dominance once again by clinching his third Liege-Bastogne-Liege title in 2025. The Slovenian cyclist, riding for UAE Team Emirates-XRG, executed a masterful attack on the Cote de la Redoute climb, maintaining his lead over the final 35 kilometers of the 252km course. This victory marks his ninth Monument win, placing him alongside cycling legends like Sean Kelly, Costante Girardengo, and Fausto Coppi.
Podium Finishers
Italy's Giulio Ciccone narrowly edged out Ireland's Ben Healy to secure second place, finishing just over a minute behind Pogacar. Simone Velasco and Thibau Nys rounded out the top five, showcasing the intense competition in this prestigious race.
Pogacar's Monument Legacy
At just 26 years old, Pogacar has already achieved what many cyclists can only dream of. He is the first rider to finish on the podium in six consecutive Monuments, the five most prestigious one-day races in men's cycling. His recent victories include Strade Bianche, Fleche Wallonne, and a second-place finish in the Amstel Gold Race.
Women's Race Highlights
In the women's race, Kim le Court from Mauritius claimed her first Monument victory, outpacing Dutch duo Puck Pieterse and Demi Vollering, as well as France's Cedrine Kerbaol. Le Court's win was a surprise, especially given her previous fifth-place finishes in Milan-San Remo and Tour of Flanders.
Future Prospects
Pogacar's quest to rival Eddy Merckx's legacy continues. With three Tour de France victories, one Giro d'Italia, and nine Monument wins, Pogacar is well on his way to becoming one of the greatest cyclists of all time. After defending his Tour de France title in July, he will aim for a 10th Monument win at Il Lombardia in October.
