Hearts' Struggle for Survival: Fox Admits Relegation Threat in Scottish Premiership

Interim head coach Liam Fox acknowledges Hearts' precarious position in the Scottish Premiership, emphasizing the urgency to avoid relegation.

Hearts' Interim Head Coach Liam Fox has openly admitted that the team is embroiled in a relegation battle in the Scottish Premiership. With Hearts sitting just five points above the play-off spot, the pressure is mounting as they prepare to face Ross County this Saturday.

Fox, who has taken temporary charge following the dismissal of Neil Critchley, stressed the importance of the players recognizing the severity of their situation. "I'm okay with saying that we are in a battle because that's where we are," Fox stated. "If the players don't realize that themselves, then we're in trouble."

The upcoming match against Ross County is crucial for Hearts to distance themselves from the relegation zone. Fox, who previously managed the team for three games earlier this season, expressed his determination to turn things around. "I believe I can bring some positivity back and win some points to take us out of this position," he said.

Fox also highlighted the importance of focus and resilience in the face of adversity. "You've always got a choice. You can feel sorry for yourself or you can roll your sleeves up and focus on what we have to do to win the game," he added.

With Hearts having gone four league games without scoring, the team's performance in Dingwall will be pivotal. Fox's leadership and strategic decisions could be the key to their survival in the Scottish Premiership.
