Fleetwood's Stunning Eagles Propel Him to Joint Lead with Scheffler and Thomas at Travelers Championship
Tommy Fleetwood's two eagles in the second round secure a shared lead with Scottie Scheffler and Justin Thomas at the Travelers Championship.

Tommy Fleetwood made an impressive comeback in the second round of the Travelers Championship, carding a 65 to share the lead with Scottie Scheffler and Justin Thomas. The English golfer, who is yet to win a PGA Tour title, showcased his skill with two remarkable eagles on the back nine.
Fleetwood's journey to the top of the leaderboard was marked by a steady start, but it was his performance in the final six holes that truly stood out. On the par-five 13th, he found the green in two shots and sank a 10-foot putt for an eagle. He followed this up with a stunning 30-yard shot from the fairway on the par-four 14th, holing out for another eagle. A 12-foot birdie putt at the par-three 16th secured his position at the top.
"I've been having a good season and I felt like my game was in a really good place going into the US Open last week," Fleetwood told Sky Sports. "For whatever reason - I'll never understand the game - I played really poorly but in golf there is always another week and this week is a big week."
Justin Thomas also had a strong round, reeling off five consecutive birdies in his six-under 64. Meanwhile, world number one Scottie Scheffler carded a 69 to maintain his position at the top. Jason Day is just one shot behind the leaders, while Rory McIlroy had a frustrating day, dropping to four behind after a one-over 71.
The Travelers Championship continues to deliver thrilling moments, with the leaders set to battle it out in the upcoming rounds. Stay tuned for more updates from this exciting tournament.
