Kevin Durant Expands His Empire: NBA Superstar Invests in Paris Saint-Germain
NBA superstar Kevin Durant invests in Paris Saint-Germain, partnering with QSI to expand his influence in sports and business.

Two-time NBA champion Kevin Durant has taken a significant step into the world of football by acquiring a minority stake in Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), the reigning Champions League winners. This strategic move sees Durant partnering with Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), the majority owners of the French club, to bolster PSG's expansion into basketball and other ventures.
A Strategic Partnership
Durant, who currently plays for the Phoenix Suns, has signed a strategic partnership agreement with QSI. This collaboration will leverage Durant's expertise in basketball as PSG explores new opportunities in the sport. "It is an honour to partner with QSI and to be a shareholder of PSG, a club and a city that is deeply close to my heart," Durant expressed. "This club has big plans, and I look forward to being part of the next phase of growth and exploring new investment opportunities with QSI."
Expanding Horizons
Earlier this year, QSI revealed its interest in owning a franchise in a proposed European basketball league by the NBA and FIBA. Durant's involvement could be pivotal in this endeavor. PSG has also announced plans to collaborate with Durant's media and investment company, Boardroom, on various commercial, investment, and content initiatives. The NBA star will support PSG in its ongoing sports and business diversification.
A Legacy of Success
Durant, a four-time Olympic gold medalist and two-time NBA champion with the Golden State Warriors, was recently ranked 10th in Forbes' 2025 list of highest-paid athletes, earning $101.4 million. His investment in PSG adds to his growing portfolio, which already includes a stake in the club through Arctos Partners.
PSG's Rise Under QSI
Since QSI acquired PSG in 2011, the club has won 11 Ligue 1 titles and its first Champions League, defeating Inter Milan 5-0 last month. Durant's investment is expected to further propel PSG's dominance in both football and basketball.
