Historic Feat: Kishor Kumar Sadhak's Dual Hat-Tricks in Consecutive Overs
Kishor Kumar Sadhak made cricket history with two hat-tricks in consecutive overs, leading Ipswich and Colchester Cricket Club to victory.

In an extraordinary display of skill and precision, Kishor Kumar Sadhak, a spin bowler from Suffolk, etched his name into cricket history by achieving two hat-tricks in consecutive overs. This remarkable feat occurred during a match for the Ipswich and Colchester Cricket Club against Kesgrave in the Two Counties Championship Division Six.
Sadhak, aged 37, expressed his exhilaration after the sixth and final wicket, stating, "When I saw that the person was bowled out, I was flying in the sky. It was amazing." His outstanding performance culminated in figures of 6-21, significantly contributing to his team's victory.
Achieving two hat-tricks in a single match is an exceedingly rare event in cricket. Notable instances include Mitchell Starc in the 2017 Sheffield Shield game and Jimmy Matthews in 1910 at Old Trafford. However, Sadhak's achievement is unique as all six wickets were secured within the same innings.
Following this historic accomplishment, celebrations ensued at the club. Sadhak shared, "After the match I got plenty of phone calls. We went to a restaurant and we enjoyed drinks and food. We spent almost two and a half hours there. It was a very lovely moment."
Of the six wickets Sadhak claimed, five were bowled, and one was caught, with five batters departing for ducks. Despite this stellar performance, Sadhak humbly remarked on his position in the team, "There are lots of other players who play really well. So, I wouldn't say I'm the first person on the teamsheet but I will be in a priority position!"
This historic event not only highlights Sadhak's exceptional talent but also brings significant attention to the Ipswich and Colchester Cricket Club, showcasing the high level of competition in the Two Counties Championship.
