Burnley Secures Armando Broja from Chelsea in a £20m Deal
Burnley has signed Armando Broja from Chelsea for up to £20m, strengthening their squad ahead of the new Premier League season.

Burnley has officially completed the signing of Armando Broja from Chelsea for an undisclosed fee, believed to be worth up to £20m. The Albania international striker has agreed to a five-year contract at Turf Moor, marking Burnley's ninth signing of the summer.
Broja, who first played for Chelsea in 2020, has made 38 appearances for the Blues across all competitions. Despite his talent, he struggled to secure regular first-team football and has spent recent seasons on loan at Vitesse Arnhem, Southampton, Fulham, and Everton.
"It's a really positive time to be joining this club ahead of the start of the new Premier League season. I can't wait to get going," said Broja. "I'm feeling good, I'm ready, and I'm excited about the challenge of playing for this club. I can already feel the support from the Burnley fans. I can tell you all that I will be giving my all every time I pull on the famous Claret shirt."
Burnley's manager, Scott Parker, expressed his enthusiasm about the new addition: "Armando is a talented young striker with a lot of potential. We believe he can make a significant impact as we aim to compete strongly in the Premier League this season."
The Clarets are set to begin their Premier League campaign on Saturday, 16 August, with an away match against Tottenham. Broja's arrival is expected to bolster Burnley's attacking options as they look to make a strong start to the season.
This transfer is part of Chelsea's ongoing strategy to sell academy graduates, having generated £250m from such sales over the past three years. Broja's move to Burnley follows the recent transfer of Lesley Ugochukwu, who also made the switch from Chelsea to Lancashire.
As Burnley prepares for the upcoming season, fans are eagerly anticipating how Broja will integrate into the team and contribute to their success in the Premier League.
