Imran Tahir's Stellar Performance Leads Warriors to Dominant Victory in CPL
Imran Tahir's exceptional five-wicket haul propels Guyana Amazon Warriors to a commanding 83-run win over Antigua and Barbuda Falcons in the CPL.

Imran Tahir, the seasoned spinner, delivered a masterclass in bowling, taking 5-21 as the Guyana Amazon Warriors secured an emphatic 83-run victory over the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). The Warriors set a formidable total of 211-3, thanks to a blistering 106-run partnership between Shai Hope (82 from 54 balls) and Shimron Hetmyer (65 not out from 26).
In response, the Falcons started strongly with Jewel Andrew (13 from 6), Rakheem Cornwall (10 from 3), and Karima Gore (31 from 14) providing a quickfire start. However, Dwaine Pretorius and Romario Shepherd struck crucial blows to halt the Falcons' momentum. Tahir then took center stage, removing Shakib Al Hasan and Imad Wasim in a double-wicket maiden over. He continued his dominance by trapping Shamar Springer lbw and clean bowling Usama Mir and Obed McCoy in quick succession.
Gudakesh Motie wrapped up the game in the 16th over, dismissing Fabian Allen as the Falcons were bowled out for 128. This victory sees the Warriors move to second place in the standings, with both teams having two wins each. However, the Falcons maintain their lead due to a no-result in one of their five matches, compared to the Warriors' two games.
This match was a testament to Tahir's enduring skill and the Warriors' batting prowess, making it a memorable encounter in the CPL season.
