Derby County have made a significant move in the transfer market by securing the services of Ben Brereton Diaz on loan from Southampton for the remainder of the season. The 26-year-old striker, who has a proven track record in the Championship, is expected to bring a new edge to Derby's attack.

Brereton Diaz spent the latter half of the previous season on loan at Sheffield United, where he scored four goals in 18 appearances, helping the team reach the Championship play-off final. Having started his career at Nottingham Forest, Derby's fierce rivals, Brereton Diaz made his senior debut in 2017 before moving to Blackburn Rovers in 2019.
