Jalen Brunson's Heroics Propel Knicks to Eastern Conference Semi-Finals Against Celtics
Jalen Brunson's 40-point performance leads the Knicks to a thrilling victory over the Pistons, setting up a semi-final clash with the Celtics.

Jalen Brunson delivered a masterclass performance, scoring 40 points including a game-winning three-pointer, to secure a 116-113 victory for the New York Knicks over the Detroit Pistons in game six of their playoff series. This win propels the Knicks into the Eastern Conference semi-finals, where they will face the defending champions, the Boston Celtics.
Brunson, who was recently named the Clutch Player of the Year, showcased his poise under pressure, hitting the decisive shot with just 4.3 seconds remaining on the clock. Reflecting on his performance, Brunson said, "I stay poised and I rely on the trust and the composure that my teammates give me. None of this happens without them."
In addition to his scoring, Brunson contributed four rebounds and seven assists, while Mikal Bridges added 25 points and OG Anunoby chipped in with 22 points at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.
Meanwhile, in the Western Conference, the Los Angeles Clippers kept their playoff hopes alive with a 111-105 victory over the Denver Nuggets in game six. James Harden led the charge with 28 points, eight assists, and six rebounds, setting the stage for a decisive game seven.
Clippers coach Tyronn Lue praised Harden's performance, stating, "James did a great job setting the tone early, scoring the basketball and getting downhill and making the right play. Norman [Powell] made some big shots at the end and Kawhi [Leonard] was steady throughout the game. I thought those guys really stepped up and came ready to play."
The game-seven decider is scheduled for May 4th at 00:30 BST, with the Clippers aiming to advance further in their quest for their first NBA Championship.
