Rangers Kick Off Sky Sports Cup Defense Against Stirling Uni or St Johnstone
Rangers begin their Sky Sports Cup defense at home against Stirling Uni or St Johnstone, following the Scottish Women's Premier League knockout draw.

Sky Sports Cup holders Rangers are set to begin their title defense at home against either University of Stirling or St Johnstone. This follows the draw for the first and second rounds of the Scottish Women's Premier League's knockout competition.
Beaten finalists Hibernian, who clinched the league title on the final day of the season and have a record seven League Cup wins, will host SWPL1 rivals Motherwell. Six-time winners Glasgow City will face SWPL2 champions Hamilton Academical, who continue to play at New Douglas Park despite ongoing disputes.
Other notable fixtures include Celtic visiting relegated Spartans, and Heart of Midlothian hosting top-flight rivals Montrose. Rangers, who lifted the League Cup for the third time in March with a 5-0 victory over Hibs, are yet to appoint a successor for head coach Jo Potter, who left for Crystal Palace.
The first-round ties will be played on or before Sunday, 7 September, with the second round scheduled for Sunday, 5 October. Rangers will learn their opponents when University of Stirling, promoted to SWPL2, face St Johnstone.
